چکیده

Quantifying a wind turbine’s holistic, system-level power production efficiency in its commercial operating condition is one of the keys to reducing levelized cost for energy and thus contributing significantly Sustainable Development Goal 7.2: “By 2030, increase substantially share renewable global mix.” It so important because designers operators need an effective baseline quantification order be able identify best practices or make operation maintenance decisions that produce actual improvements. However, this task highly challenging due stochastic nature complexity turbine systems. imperative carry out accurate, trust-worthy performance assessment uncertainty generators. This article provides concise overview existing schools thought terms highlights few technical considerations future research pursuit.

Improving Data-based Wind Turbine Using Measured Data Foggy Method

The purpose of this paper is to improve the modeling of the data-driven wind turbine system that receives data from noise signals. Most of the data on industrial systems is noisely and data noise is inevitable and natural. The method and idea proposed in this paper, Data Fogging, significantly reduce the impact of noise on data-driven wind turbine system modeling, which is the basis of this met...

Monitoring Wind Turbine Vibration Based on SCADA Data

Three models for detecting abnormalities of wind turbine vibrations reflected in time domain are discussed. The models were derived from the supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) data collected at various wind turbines. The vibration of a wind turbine is characterized by two parameters, i.e., drivetrain and tower acceleration. An unsupervised data-mining algorithm, the k-means cluste...

Analysis of Wind Turbine Vibrations Based on SCADA Data

Vibrations of a wind turbine have a negative impact on its performance. Mitigating this undesirable impact requires knowledge of the relationship between the vibrations and other wind turbine parameters that could be potentially modified. Three approaches for ranking the impact importance of measurable turbine parameters on the vibrations of the drive train and the tower are discussed. They inc...

Fault Prediction and Diagnosis of Wind Turbine Generators Using SCADA Data

The fast-growing wind power industry faces the challenge of reducing operation and maintenance (O&M) costs for wind power plants. Predictive maintenance is essential to improve wind turbine reliability and prolong operation time, thereby reducing the O&M cost for wind power plants. This study presents a solution for predictive maintenance of wind turbine generators. The proposed solution can: (...

Empirical Wind Turbine Load Distributions Using Field Data

In the design of land-based or offshore wind turbines for ultimate limit states, long-term loads associated with return periods on the order of the service life (20 years, usually) must be estimated. This requires statistical extrapolation from turbine load data that may be obtained by simulation or by field tests. The present study illustrates such extrapolation that uses field data from the B...
